Welcome to The Junior League of Austin (JLA)!

It is my honor and privilege to serve as the 2022-23 President and continue a legacy of service. Since 1934, JLA has served the Austin community through our mission of promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. With more than 2400 members, we aim to create a lasting, meaningful impact through our signature programs and community partnerships.

The past two years have not been easy. Throughout the pandemic, JLA pivoted and reimagined how we would serve the greater Austin community. With determination, teamwork, and an unwavering commitment to our community, we transcended boundaries and continued to serve. We provided over 1200 pairs of shoes through our Kids in Cool Shoes (KICS) program, distributed 35,000 coats through Coats for Kids, and provided weekend nourishment through the Food in Tummies (FIT) program.

As we navigate the new normal, we are recommitting ourselves to our shared commitment to JLA and the community. In keeping with our theme “Believe in Your Sparkle and Shine,” I’ve challenged our members to tap into the “unique” contribution that they make to JLA. We represent a diverse range of lived experiences and backgrounds, and I am so thankful for each member sharing their sparkle with the Junior League.

Without our motivated members, we could not serve the Austin community. Each year, members collectively commit approximately 160,000 hours of service. I am truly elated to serve among these strong, talented, and dedicated women in this phenomenal organization.
